      Yes! We welcome well-behaved dogs (on leads) in all our branches.

      Please return to the branch to see if it was left there. We are unable to assist as we are not based in the branch.

      Yes, all our branches are equipped with wide entrances, electric-sliding doors (where required), ramps where necessary and lifts to all floor areas. Our counters are fitted with 2-level serving heights and packaging zones are also set at 2 levels too. Some counters are fitted with hearing loops too. If you require additional support in the branch please let us know so a colleague can assist you.

      We do not permit 2 wheeled electric scooters in store.

      Unfortunately, we are unable to allow bicycles in store due to health and safety (risks of the bicycle toppling over and damaging stock, fittings and customers but also due to space limitations. If you have a foldable bike you can fold it and carry it in store but all other bicycles must be left outside.

      Yes, for most banks we can do that. You’ll need your sort code and account number and we’ll do the rest. There is no charge for the service.

      Yes, we support top ups and other utility top-up services.

      At a few of our branches we offer a Bank of England note swap service (Golders Green, High Holborn) our other stores can deposit old notes into your bank account but cannot swap. Alternatively customers can visit the Bank of England to exchange old notes.

      Yes, we offer foreign exchange. Rates vary by currency and branch. We do not quote rates over the phone as they vary. You’ll need to go into branch.

      You can pay in coins but they must be bagged up (we can supply the bags) in individual denominations to the amounts specified on the bag. Changing giving services are only provided to banking customers who have a business account with an approved bank. You should check with your bank if you are able to do it at the Post Office as it different for each bank and company.

      No this is a National Savings and Investment product and no longer available at the Post Office. www.nsandi.com is the best place to go.

      Usually around 4.45 – 5pm, except on Saturday when it is around 11:45. There is no official collection on a Sunday in the stores that are open but the royal mail does an early clearance on Mondays so best to get it in the earlier the better!

      Special Delivery cut-off is typically 4.45 PM. The item needs to be in the bag completed by then and it can be busy at that time of day so you should allow extra time.

      We don’t do deliveries – we operate the retail stores only. You can check if your parcel is in store on the courier’s website – we do not provide tracking services over the phone.

      Please check the courier’s tracking site. We don’t track parcels directly. But if you used a signed for service and it says it is still in the branch this won’t be correct. All mail is cleared daily from the branch. “Signed for” doesn’t include tracking so you wont get any movement updates accept that it was received in the branch until the it is ultimately signed for at the destination. For any further queries you will need to contact Royal Mail at royalmail.com

      We do not transfer calls to the branch as they are busy serving customers.

      Some branches accept Evri. The website will show if EVRI is offered in store.

      Some branches accept DPD. The website will show if DPD is offered in store.

      We currently only offer UPS drop off and pick up at our Reigate Store.

      We have a lot of choices and the options vary by the store (as some branches offer additional delivery options to other locations). To ensure we give you the most accurate pricing you’ll need to come into store and our colleagues can go through the options that will suit your requirements fully. We do not quote parcels over the phone.

      Yes, all full service UOE stores (East Finchley, Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Stoke Newington, Hertford, Potters Bar and Ware & Reigate) offer these services. Prices vary by size and quantity. (you can use the printing pricing bot to get a price). Currently printing etc services are NOT available in our Post Office only branches, but these will be added over the coming months.

      Yes, bring your ID and original documents.

      Yes, we offer ID photos with digital codes in our full service stores. Many of other Post Office branches have photo booths (check the individual page on the website for services).

      Yes. Bring your old passport, a digital photo, and supporting documents.

      Yes, if under 70 bring your current licence and a passport-style photo.

      No appointment needed. Walk-ins are welcome.

      No we are unable to do that as our systems cannot reprint or trace transactions without the tracking number.

      Yes, we stock D1, passport, and DVLA forms included V62 forms for lost log-books for vehicles.

      The following terms apply in addition to our standard terms of sale and relate to customers purchasing goods in-store via our retail stores.

      Refund & Exchange Policy

      If you wish to return any stock item purchased from the store you will be required to bring your receipt as well as the goods in ‘mint’ condition, fit for resale.

      In-store purchases:
      If you return the goods within 3 days of purchase you may choose either to exchange the goods or request a refund. If you return your purchase after 3 days you will not be entitled to a refund. You will be offered an exchange for alternative goods and services. We do not issue credit notes.

      Distance Sales (by telephone order):
      If you have made your purchase via our telephone order service and had your order delivered we will extend this refund period to 7 days. After 7 days you will not be entitled to a refund. You will be offered an exchange for alternative goods and services. We do not issue credit notes.

      Beyond 14 days from the date of purchase UOE will only accept defective goods for return. Please see below for our defective goods policy.

      Please note: special order items, items marked as on sale and bespoke products are not permitted for return unless defective regardless of method of purchase.

      No. we cannot take payment for credit card bills currently. This can only be done online or at your bank. We can take payment for a variety of other bills.

      Yes, you can get Postal Orders at the Post Office. You need to bring cash for the amount plus the appropriate fee. If you bank with most UK banks you’ll be able to draw cash at our Post Office counter with a debit card. Details of the costs are shown here: Postal Orders

      If you have a sheet with a series of barcodes on it for checking you can bring that into the branch and we can check it against your original documents. Please make sure you bring all the documents that are listed in hard copy – we cannot accept screen shots or photocopies.
