Mother’s Day Gifts From the Heart

Going abroad? Save money by organising your travel money and travel insurance through Post Office Money’s award-winning service.

We hold Euros, US Dollars and many of other currencies instore to pick up straight away. Make sure to bring your physcial ID or biometric digital ID (like EasyID) – no photographs of IDs will be accepted – when you visit, as some transactions require an identity check due to UK Money Laundering regulations . In our Crouch End, Potters Bar and Muswell Hill branches we have priority lanes for Travel Money (except on Sundays). For currencies we don’t hold on the shelf, we can get it for you next day by ordering in branch before 1pm or via our click and collect service.
Use our Click & Collect Express service, and we could have your Euros or US Dollars ready in just two hours! Other currencies will take longer, but order before 3pm and collect the next working day. The good news is you’ll be able to use our priority counter, so if there is a queue, you’ll definitely beat it! And the majority of our Post Offices are open 7 days a week.

Rather than carry cash around, or accrue bank charges on debit or credit card transactions, it’s a great idea to get a Post Office Travel Money Card. Available straight away when you come in to the UOE Post Office, you can preload your card with up to 22 currencies (very handy for round-the-world trips!) and use it in as a debit card wherever MasterCard is accepted, including getting cash from ATMs.
You can preload your card with between £10 and £5,000 and top it up whenever you want. There’s no commission and no fees. Use the app to exchange money from one currency to another, and keep an eye on your balance so you’ll know exactly how much you’ve spent and how much you’ve got left.

We charge no transaction fees or commission charges when buying or selling currency

Forgotten to buy travel insurance? Get yourself covered instantly at a UOE Post Office. In addition to the single and multi-trip cover you’d expect us to have, we also cover backpackers, golfers, those taking part in winter sports, people with existing medical conditions, and the over 65s. You can even take out cover on behalf of your 16-24 year olds who are statistically more likely to travel abroad uninsured – giving you the peace of mind they’re properly covered.
