Three new UOE Stores and Post Offices for November!

In November, we will be opening three new Post Office and UOE Stores in North London.
After a consultation period, UOE has been awarded the franchise to run Post Office branches at Crouch End, Muswell Hill and Stoke Newington.
Each branch will be closed for refurbishment for three days before reopening as UOE Store & Post Office. The dates are as follows:

Crouch End

Closed for refurbishment 9-12 November
Reopening on Monday 13 November 7 days a week

Reopening on Monday 20 November 7 days a week

It’s been a rocky road

The process of being awarded these Post Office franchises has by no means been a smooth one and there has been a lot of local opposition to the move, including protests and petitions. What customers have mainly been worried about is the loss of “a great public service”.

We would like to reassure everyone that there will be no loss of service at all. In fact, we will be offering an improved service because of our longer opening hours and Sunday opening, along with the stationery, gifts and services that will be available in our shops.

We are confident that once the UOE Store takes over, customers who had previously expressed doubts will realise we are as passionate about keeping the Post Office as an integral part of the local community as they are.
