This week, UOE’s delivery fleet, managed by Multi Distribution has been awarded FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) Accreditiation.

FORS is a voluntary certification scheme aimed at ensuring fleet operators work lawfully and to their best possible practices with the overall aim of making London’s road safer, cleaner and less congested.

Simon Rogers, Group Operations Director, commented “We are delighted our logistics partner has acheived this accreditation. The stringent checks to achieve this confirms that we are meeting all current legislative requirements and acknowledges our continued efforts to improve vehicle/transport safety, transport efficency and driver training and accountability.”

Over the past 12 months alone, UOE’s managed fleet has benefited from new stop-start vehicles, digital POD touchpads, least-mile routing software planning, additional driver training, health and safety training and  CCTV incident cameras added to all vehicles.

UOE delivers thousands of orders every week to customers across the UK. In addition, through its partnership with UPS, an increasing number of deliveries are now been made on zero-emission, electric vehicles.
